Brief Description: Students explore the economics of consumer food products by analyzing who gets what portion of the price we pay for our food.

 

OBJECTIVES

The student will:

  • predict and compare the expenses of retailing a food product;
  • create, read, and interpret pie charts and bar graphs; and
  • given the range for each expense, compute the average.

ESTIMATED TEACHING TIME

Three Sessions: 45 to 60 minutes each.
