Brief Description: Wild Blueberries for ME describes the history, growing and harvesting of this important Maine crop.   After reading aloud, students will be involved in English Language Arts and Health Education activities.

Objectives: 

The student will:

  • Describe how blueberries are grown in Maine
  • Identify where wild blueberries are grown
  • Tell why blueberries are a healthy food
  • Become familiar with wild blueberry vocabulary
  • Follow directions to make a blueberry snack
